Quality Control Data Sheet

A010-14    anti-PHOSPHOLAMBAN antibody A1    lot:0401-03

Immunogen: Bovine cardiac phospholamban

Formulation: protein G purified murine monoclonal antibody. Lyophilised from a solution of 0.2M citrate-phosphate-tris pH 7.0.

Antigen/specificity: Murine monoclonal antibody raised against bovine cardiac PLB1. Recognises an epitope comprising residues 7LTRSAIRRAS162 and reacts with all forms of PLB, monomer, oligomers, phosphorylated, non-phosphorylated.

Reconstitution & Storage: Store dessicated at 4C prior to reconstitution. Dissolve lyophilised serum in 20ml deionised water. Freeze in aliquots at –70C. Stable for at least 12 months. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles - this denatures antibody molecules.

Species reactivity: Bovine, dog, ferret, hamster, human, rat, sheep

Applications: Western blot (1:5000), immunofluorescence microscopy (1:200)

Quality control testing

Immunoblot analysis: Monoclonal antibody A1 (1:5000), of this lot, detected all forms of PLB in rat heart homogenates (100mg, figure 1). All specific immunoreactivity was absent when blots were probed by A1 in the presence of 1mM epitope peptide (P010-14).
