A010-20    anti-SERCA2a antibody    lot:0401-06

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide coupled to Keyhole limpet hemocyanin

 

Formulation: Whole lyophilised rabbit serum.

 

Antigen/specificity: Polyclonal antibody raised to the peptide sequence C991LEPAILE997from the C-terminus of the SR Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA2a). Recognises SERCA2a but does not recognise SERCA2b or SERCA1 or SERCA3.

 

Reconstitution & Storage: Store dessicated at 4C prior to reconstitution. Dissolve lyophilised serum in 20ml deionised water. Freeze in aliquots at –70C. Stable for at least 12 months. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles - this denatures antibody molecules.

 

Species reactivity: Dog,  rat, sheep

  Applications: Western blot 1:5000 immunofluorescence 1:200

 

 

 

Quality control testing

Immunoblot analysis: SERCA2a antibody (1:5000), of this lot, detected SERCA2a  in 10mg cardiac SR (figure 1). Almost all immunoreactivity was absent when blots were probed by SERCA2a antibody in the presence of 1mM epitope peptide (P010-20).
